Fronting a negative adverb changes the word order

In neutral English, adverbs like "never" and "rarely" sit before the main verb: "I have never seen anything like it". In formal, written or dramatic English you can move the adverb to the front for emphasis.

I have never seen anything like it.
Nunca he visto nada igual. (orden neutro)
Never have I seen anything like it.
Jamás he visto nada igual. (enfático)
